Rule #41 "Make Your Move."
“Good Will Hunting” is in my opinion the best work Matt Damon has ever done. In this movie, he plays a rebellious prodigy hell bent on making sure he lives life on his terms and no one else’s. What we realize in the film is he’s really just a scared kid. He’s afraid of putting himself out there and getting hurt.
How many of us will have our dreams buried in our casket with us. As Oliver Wendall Holmes said, “Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it time runs out.”
Time is ticking. It waits on no one. The sad part is we all have a different clock. Like a digital watch, we really have no idea just how much battery life is left. We are living in very anxious times. It’s easier now than ever to lose hope in mankind, our country, our systems, our economy and scariest of all ourselves. Don’t do that. Dream bigger today than you did yesterday. Try harder today than you did last week. Have hope.
It’s your move, chief.
You rule!
