One thing...

It all starts with one thing. Make a decision to find one thing you will do this day, this week, this month that will alter your life for the better. What is it? Only you know what it is. Clear out all the clutter and leave nothing but this one thing. Focus on it. Stare at it then attack it. On the other side is freedom, accomplishment. No longer will this nagging project be rattling around in your head.

It will be gone. What' is the one thing you know if you just took care of other dominos would fall? What is the one thing serving as a dam to subsequent achievements? What is the one thing causing you to not be as close to your spouse or children as you would like?

To do lists can kill this process. When I have a to do list with only one thing on it I feel like a loser, and underachiever, a slacker. Who can’t just knock out one thing? Me. That’s who. There are days I don’t get one damn thing off my to do list. Why? I’ve noticed a pattern. The more cluttered the list the less likely to complete the task.

Therefore, I am now going to limit my to do list to one item. Once that one thing is achieved I will then add the next one thing. I’ve done this with my daily scorecard, too. I decided the one thing to ensure the rest of my major to dos, habits and wildly important goals is meditating. So now my scorecard has one thing on it. You guessed it-meditate.

Found yours? Ok. So what are you going to do about it?
